Welcome! We are glad you are here. We invite you to visit St. Mark’s and attend one of our worship services. Coffee and fellowship take place either just before or after each service in the Parish Hall. Our Christian Formation hour for both adults and children begins at 10:00 AM (Sept.-May). Where is St. Mark’s located?
We are located in central south Austin in the Barton Hills Neighborhood, adjacent to the Barton Creek greenbelt.

What times are your services?
Program year (September—May):
Sundays: 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday: 6:00 p.m. in Grace Chapel
Summer schedule (June-August):
Sundays: 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Wednesdays: 6:00 p.m. in Grace Chapel
What are your services like and how long do they last?
Our worship is according to the Book of Common Prayer. Our principal service is Holy Eucharist, Rite I at 7:30 a.m. and Rite II at other services.
Sunday services last an hour, Wednesday evening services, about ½ hour.
Is there music?
Our organist plays at the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday services; the adult choir sings at the 11:00 a.m. service every Sunday of the program year. The St. Mark’s Choristers (children’s choir) sing approximately once a month during the program year. There is no music at 7:30 a.m. Read more.

Christian Formation for adults and children is from 10:00 to 10:50. Read more.
Do you have a nursery or Children’s Chapel?
Children are an important part of our community and are welcome at all services. Children’s Chapel is held for children ages 4 to 6, at the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services. The children join their families in the church at the Peace. A nursery is available for younger children, age 0-3 years.
What if my child is restless during the service?
Chairs are provided in the Narthex if you need to take your children out of the sanctuary during the service. In addition, there are some ‘quiet’ toys available in the Parish Hall, which may be brought into the service.
Who may receive communion?
All Christians of all ages who have been baptized with water in the name of the Trinity are welcome to receive communion.
At what age may children receive communion?
Children at St. Mark’s are welcome to receive communion at any time after they have been baptized.
What if we have not been baptized?
Everyone is welcome to worship at St. Mark’s. Those who have not been baptized are welcome to come to the altar rail for a blessing.
