Our outreach ministries involve parishioners in a number of ways through organized events.  Additionally, St. Mark’s meets various needs as crises arise, such as hurricanes, wild fires, etc., both in terms of donations & rebuilding projects.  Some of the events St. Mark’s community assists with each year are below.   • Christmas gifts: Each year, St. Mark’s helps a variety of charities through our Angel Tree.  Organizations we have helped in the past include: El Buen Samaritano toy collection, Thermal Underwear drive for House the Homeless, Manna bags for the homeless, SafePlace Shelter.
  • Collection of food for El Buen Samaritano & Caritas
  • Family Eldercare fan drive in the summer months
  • HEB food cards for 6 individuals each week in the Austin area and help with utilities ($35, for two families each week)
  • Habitat for Humanity, Episcopal home builds
  • Heifer International (Christmas and early Summer)
  • NetsforLife©: Malaria prevention in Africa
  • Pillowcase dresses for African girls
  • School Supply donations (August)
  • Thanksgiving baskets for El Buen Samaritano clients
  • Trinity Streets: help with meals on a quarterly basis
  • Trinity Center Shower Ministry: each Tuesday morning
  • Women’s Storybook Project: reading ministry to incarcerated women and their children
