Mission & Outreach
St. Mark’s works closely with partner organizations to share God’s love in our community and offers a variety of volunteering and giving opportunities.
The Arts at St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s engages with the visual and performing arts in a variety of ways. From our choir, to our Artist-in-Context program (supported by the Creative Arts Collective for Christian Faith and Life), to traveling art exhibitions, to our commissioned Lenten processional cross and more, we see beauty as central to our journey toward closer contact with the Living God.
This program year, our Artist-in-Context Jon Guerra is hosting a series of experimental nights called Beauty As Well As Bread. “These nights are not concerts so much as experiments in cultivating resonance — resonance with the deeper layers of the world. Beauty puts us in touch with invisible things. Deep beckons to deep.”
