St. Mark’s Youth
Youth are a valuable part of our St. Mark’s community! We believe youth thrive when they are welcomed, embraced for who they are, and empowered to serve according to their God-given gifts. Read on for more info on our growing youth ministry!
Building Friendships
Several Sunday afternoons each semester, we get together after the 11:15 service to have lunch and hang out. We play games, sing worship songs, and simply have quality time together. No pressure, no expectations — just God’s goodness shared in community!

Learning through Serving
Serving Outside the Church
St. Mark’s EYC engages in service work outside the church in a variety of ways. From cooking turkey chili and delivering it to our neighbors at Community First! Village during the suspension of SNAP benefits in November of ‘25, to a week-long Service & Immersion Trip at the White Rose Catholic Worker Farm in the Summer of ‘26, we’re always looking for ways to serve our neighbors.
Serving Inside the Church
The following volunteer roles are open for youth to serve at St. Mark’s:
Acolyte - Assist in the 11:15 service as either a torch-bearer or crucifer.
Lector - Read a passage of scripture during one of our morning worship services.
Children’s Formation Classes - Alongside adult leaders, assist with children’s formation classes or help out in the nursery. (*Safeguarding training required)
VBS Youth Helper – Spend a few mornings of your summer assisting with Vacation Bible School programming for younger kids. (*Safeguarding training required)
Contact Caleb to sign up for any of these service opportunities!
Growing in Faith
Confirmation
Confirmation class is a faith-building opportunity is typically reserved for high school students. It involves a commitment to learn, serve, and be a part of a community, as well as a willingness to explore going through with the rite of Confirmation at the next Bishop’s visit. Contact Caleb to receive info on the next Confirmation cohort.
Pilgrimage
A pilgrimage is an opportunity to encounter God through traveling to sacred places alongside fellow pilgrims seeking spiritual renewal. St. Mark’s desires to give each youth the opportunity to go on one pilgrimage trip during their high school years. In the summer of 2023, six pilgrims from St. Mark’s went to England and Scotland! Stay tuned for an announcement on our next pilgrimage trip.
