Sunday Formation Classes

Sunday mornings @ 10 AM

Godly Play (Pre-K and K): This Montessori-inspired program features classic Bible stories told with beautiful, age-appropriate materials. Children are encouraged to wonder and express their innate creativity as they learn how to be in community with one another. Learn more at godlyplayfoundation.org. Godly Play meets in the Common Room, near the office.

Wayfinders (1st - 3rd grade): Wayfinders is all about growing in faith and relationships. Each class session will include time for games, sharing, and getting to know one another. This fall, we’ll be using a Bible-based curriculum from Illustrated Ministry that will empower us to take part in God’s mission in the world! Wayfinders meets in Ms. Melissa’s room in the Day School Wing.

The Bridge (4th - 8th grade): This new class will provide support and encouragement to pre-teens and early adolescents during a turbulent, change-filled season of life. Students watch videos from The Bible Project and engage in discussion and open sharing. Join us in the Parish Hall!

Sunday Childcare

Nursery Care (crawling babies - 3 year olds): Join us in Ms. Mayra’s classroom in the Day School Wing for indoor and outdoor free play, supervised by our fantastic nursery staff! The nursery is open from 8:45 to 12:30 every Sunday during the school year.

Children’s Church (ages 4-7): During the 11:15 service only, children are invited before the readings to follow the crucifer to the Parish Hall. There they will discuss a Bible story with Mr. Casey and Ms. Kat, plus enjoy a short coloring activity or group game. Leaders bring the children back to their parents in the service during the Peace, after the sermon.

The St. Mark’s Choristers

Wednesday nights @ 6 PM

The St. Mark’s Choristers are a group of children who enjoy singing, learning about music and worship, playing games, and having lots of fun! By participating in Choristers, children not only develop their musical skills, but they also strengthen their faith by joining a community and building friendships within the church. Choristers is for elementary school children in grades K through 5th. We sing at the 9:00 a.m. worship service about once a month during the school year. We’ll also sing for the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols on December 10th. Come sing with us! Contact mark@stmarksaustin.org to learn more.
